SIDE EYE AT THE BEACH / WORKSHOP 03 OF 12

Make the call.

Thursday 15 October · 13:00–14:00 · 60 minutes

Equal partners. Both shape the idea. Both make the thing.

OUR FOCUS

What is the smallest useful version we will actually make?

Leave with: A one-page brief: customer, promise, price hypothesis, scope, owners and spend limit.

First, get on the same page.

Choose who facilitates this session; swap next time. Check energy, say what each of you wants from the block, and agree the output. Neither person’s skills give them the final say.

Questions for both of us

  • What is the smallest useful version we will actually make?
  • What did we learn?
  • Which assumption matters most?
  • What must happen for someone to get value?
  • What can be manual?

Make it happen

20 min evidence; 20 min scope; 20 min owners and acceptance criteria. Keep three essential features maximum.

Use the step buttons to move through the timeboxes. Pause when you need to; a timer helps us focus, not rush each other.

We can move on when…

Both know their next task and how we will tell it is done.

If we get stuck

Cut a feature or choose a manual delivery. If the customer problem has collapsed, revisit the strongest alternative together.

For a disagreement: two minutes each to explain, then choose the smallest reversible test together. For a bigger pause: agree when to return.

Our working space.

Capture the decisions and useful artefacts. You can keep messy drafts somewhere else; this is the trail we bring to Singapore.
